Visit Details
Dr Dambaya is affiliated with the University of Yaoundé I and the CIRCB, a research institution dedicated to advancing HIV/AIDS prevention, research and management. During her time at the lab, she worked on her research project, which explores HIV within a distinct Cameroonian community. Her work aims to contribute to a better understanding of HIV in populations that may be underrepresented in scientific research, highlighting the importance of studying the disease across diverse African communities.
Throughout the month, Dr Dambaya had the opportunity to work within the Ramsuran Lab’s research environment, exchanging scientific knowledge and engaging with the team as she advanced her project. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for scientific exchange and strengthened connections between researchers working to address important health challenges across the African continent.
Her visit reflects the Ramsuran Lab’s commitment to supporting African-led research and fostering scientific collaboration across borders. By bringing together researchers from different African countries, such exchanges contribute to advancing locally relevant research and building a deeper understanding of the health challenges affecting communities across the continent.
